Changes to Renewable Energy legislation by the Federal Government
In June, the Federal Government successfully introduced the enhanced Renewable Energy Target or eRET. From 1 January 2011, the Renewable Energy Target, which mandates that by 2020, 20 per cent of Australia’s energy will come from renewable sources. To improve management, this has been broken down into two markets - the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES, or households) and the Large-scale Renewable Energy Target (LRET, or commerical energy generation activity).To find out how this will affect you, visit our blog here.

Habitat for Humanity support in NSW
Solar Shop Australia continues its strong community partnership with Habitat for Humanity by donating and installing a 1.44kW solar power system on the Koko-Yassin family home in NSW in early July.
