Thank you again for participating in the Western Solar Group, Power in Numbers Community Bulk Buy Program.  This newsletter is designed to answer any questions you may have regarding your home visit, installation, payment and other special offers available from Solar Shop Australia.

Home Consultation

Once you have paid your deposit to confirm your participation in the WSG bulk buy program, our Renewable Energy Advisor will schedule a site visit which will occur approximately 3 weeks from when the deposit has been paid.  The site visit will take approximately 1 hour.  During this time we will answer any additional questions you have regarding your solar power system and conduct a roof measurement.  You can also use this opportunity to pay your 10% deposit.

Roof Plan Process

To ensure the system is installed in the optimum position, our Advisors come to your home and measure your roof.  They also take into account the roof pitch and orientation and electricity consumption to calculate your solar power system performance.

There will be 3 typical scenarios regarding roof plans.  Once they are finalised they will need to be approved by you before we can begin to install the system on your home

1. The Advisor will produce a full roof plan during the home consultation which can be signed and approved by you at the time.

2. The Advisor will produce a roof sketch during the home consultation which can be signed by you, but may require alterations as advised by our installation team on the day of install.  Any alterations will need to be approved by you on the day of installation in order for us to proceed.

3. You may not require, or do not wish to have a Home Consultation, in which case our installation team will present the roof sketch to you for approval on the day of installation.  Approval is required prior to installation

If you would like to to take advantage of our Sunworks consumer finance package, you are not required to pay an upfront deposit (subject to your finance application being approved)

RECs Renewable Energy Certificates

Renewable Energy Certificates are a tradable commodity, which means their value can change, just like our exchange rate!  Right now, RECS can be valued anywhere from $33 to $38 each.  The value we have placed on your Quote/Contract will be honoured for the duration of that Quote/Contract.  Our Quote/Contracts are valid for 30 days from date of issue, so please take note when your Quote/Contract was created and when it will expire.

Installation

Once the roof plan is completed and approved it will take anywhere between 1 - 4 months to have the system installed.  Installations will be schedulled in the order we receive your signed contract.  The stock is already availalbe and allocated to the WSG community bulk buy program, it is now just a matter of scheduling the installation.  Each installation takes approximately 4 hours to complete.

Meter Upgrade

As you are now moving from just being a consumer of electricity to both a producer and consumer, you need to upgrade your meter from a uni-directional (one way) to a bidirectional meter (both ways - import and export). 

Single phase meter upgrades cost approximately $440 and 3 phase meters cost approximately $660.  These costs are in addition to your solar power system and are billed to you by ETSA directly.

Referral Rewards

As a customer of Solar Shop Australia, you are now eligible to refer people outside the existing WSG Community Bulk Buy program and earn referral rewards for every successful sale.  We reward our referrers with a $200 Coles Group and Myer Gift Voucher.

FlyBuys Points

Some of you may have seen on our website that Solar Shop Australia has a Flybuys promotion currently running. The Flybuys promotion is only available on systems purchased at the full retail price, and is not valid with any other offer. The systems in this community solar group are part of a special offer, as you are purchasing your system at a bulk-buy price, which differs from our standard pricing.
